1795 - At Historic Fort Erie, Lieut. Governor John Graves Simcoe addresses the Six Nations who were assembled for a meeting. (The Correspondence of Lieut. Gov. John Graves Simcoe, Vol. IV. 1795-1796. Gen. E.A. Cruikshank, ed. Toronto: Ontario Historical Society, 1926 p. 83.)


1950 - A blaze begun at Crystal Beach's Victoria Lunch, destroys two restaurants, a dry-goods store, a plumbing shop, a hardware store and three apartments before being brought under control. (Times-Review, Aug. 31, 1950)
